About the event

Stop Walking the Course. Own the Court.

We’re launching the inaugural HCRF Pickleball Classic, the ultimate blend of fast-paced networking and high-octane team building.

No fluff, no forced small talk. Just an afternoon of inclusive, competitive play to help Hunter Children’s Research Foundation to fund life-saving and life-changing research for children facing serious illnesses and their families.

Create memories, build team culture, and engage in some (friendly) competition with other local businesses while helping propel forward vital research which would otherwise remain an idea on a shelf at Hunter Medical Research Institute (HMRI).

How it works

Team format
Local businesses are invited to enter teams of three to four players. Note: Only two players are on the court at any one time; having four players ensures your team has a backup and stays fresh!
Tournament style
A round robin format guarantees multiple matches for every team, regardless of skill level.

Fundraising with impact

Your participation does more than just secure bragging rights. Every dollar raised supports local research that helps children and families globally.
Research hours
We’ll be tracking our impact live. $200 is equal to one hour of a researcher’s life-changing work.
The mulligan
Need a second chance? Your team can buy a point for $50 (max 2 per team over the event).
The blind lab
For a $20 donation, make your opponents wear obstructed goggles to experience the challenge of the unknown in research!

Pickleballerz is the Hunter’s premier indoor pickleball destination, featuring 8 dedicated courts and a vibrant atmosphere. It’s the perfect setting for our anti-golf charity day, located conveniently close to Wests Cardiff for those looking for post-event celebrations.
