Event recap

The Hunter Showed Up for Kids

What a day to remember. The grounds of Spicers Guesthouse provided a stunning backdrop for an afternoon of warmth, generosity, and genuine community spirit — and together, our guests raised funds for children's health research.

The team at éRemo Restaurant delivered an exceptional menu, paired beautifully with wines from First Creek Wines, while the room was made even more special by the gorgeous floral arrangements lovingly created by Yeng Tan of Huntlee Flowers. Our MC Gus Maher kept the energy high and the room smiling throughout the afternoon. Artist Angi Dlapiu from Artdosis captivated guests with breathtaking live art created especially for the auction, musician Nathan Cole set the perfect mood, and auctioneer Brendan McMahon worked his magic to ensure every item found a new home for a wonderful cause.

A heartfelt thank you to our Diamond Naming Rights Partner, Hunter Construction Group, whose support was nothing short of extraordinary. And to our Gold Partners — Lexus of Newcastle, Higgins Coatings, JSA Group, Clear Sky Australia, and Ray White Newcastle Lake Macquarie — and every sponsor, prize donor, and volunteer who made the day possible: thank you.

The funds raised will go directly toward children's health research here in the Hunter region — funding the breakthroughs that matter most to local families. To every guest, partner, donor, and volunteer who played a part — thank you.

Days like this are proof of just how much our community can achieve when it comes together for kids.
